  • 06

    How are invoices issued?

Invoices are issued monthly and can be viewed in your customer area on the website.

  • 07

What should I do if I have doubts about my invoice?

You can contact the Customer Service Department by calling 679 40 00 00 40

  • 08

    What are access fees?

These are tolls regulated by the Government and the CNMC that all consumers pay for using the distribution and transmission networks. The amount varies depending on the contracted power and supply voltage. The tolls are made up of two main costs: Transmission and Distribution Tolls System Charges.

  • 09

What is an electricity distribution company?

Although we sell you the electricity, there is always a company that owns the power lines that transport the electricity to your point of supply. For this service, they charge energy and power tolls (the access toll), which are included in your electricity bill and are the same for all domestic consumers. For this reason, the name of our supplier and the distributor appear on your bill.

  • 010

    What is CUPS?

The Universal Code of Supply Points (CUPS) uniquely identifies your installation to the Distributor. You can find it on your bill. It is like the DNI of your supply point and it is the number we need to register you as a customer.

  • 011

    What is the CNAE Code?

The National Classification Code of Economic Activities allows the classification and grouping of production units according to the activity they carry out for the purpose of preparing statistics. It is mandatory to indicate the CNAE in those contracts where the owner is a company or enterprise.

  • 012

    What is the SEPA Model?

The Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) is the area in which citizens, companies and other economic agents can make and receive payments in euros within and across national borders in Europe, with the same conditions, rights and obligations, regardless of their location. Since February 1, 2014 all direct debit payments must be accompanied by the signature of a SEPA document.

  • 013

    What power should I contract?

The contracted power must be adapted as much as possible to the power you need. If the contracted power is insufficient, there is a risk of overload. On the other hand, if the contracted power is excessive, you will be incurring in a cost overrun.

  • 014

Can I change the contracted power?

If you are already a customer and want to change the contracted power, please contact us by phone at 679 40 00 40 or by email at hola.energia@acciona.com.

Both the request for power increase and decrease have a cost that will be passed on to us by the distributor in your area and that we will pass on to you. And, of course, without any cost of ACCIONA Energia for the management.

  • 015

What is the tariff deficit? What is the tariff deficit annuity?

The tariff deficit is the difference between the real cost of producing, distributing and delivering electricity and the price paid by consumers through the electricity bill, which is lower and therefore does not cover these real costs. By decision of the Government, this difference is paid “in installments” and has an impact on the electricity bill for the following years, thus increasing its price.

  • 016

    What is reactive energy?

In our daily activity, we consume two types of energy:

Active energy: it is transformed into work and heat, it is the useful energy.

Reactive energy: it is not transformed into work and heat, it is the energy that we do not use. The latter is produced by devices that use coils (e.g. motors) and although we do not use it, it is discharged into the electrical network and causes the deterioration of the installations.

For this reason, we have to compensate it or reduce its generation. The distribution company penalizes economically those consumers where the use of reactive energy exceeds one third of the active energy, in the case of companies.

In domestic supplies, this penalty cannot be applied. If you are currently paying for excess reactive energy, please contact us and we will inform you about possible solutions.

  • 017

    What is a maximeter?

It is a measuring device that records the power demanded in 15-minute intervals. The distribution company uses it to calculate the amount of the tolls on each bill and, depending on the contracted access tariff, applies different calculation formulas. It is installed in supply points with 3.0TD and 6.1TD access tariffs and also in some domestic supply points considered essential.

  • 018

If I suffer a power outage, who will fix it?

The distribution company is in charge of guaranteeing the quality of the electricity supply, so it will be up to them to solve the problem. In the bill itself appears the free telephone number of the distributor to report the incident. There you will be given an incident number that will be very important for you to continue making the claim later on. However, if you do not find a solution, you can also call us and we will contact the distribution company to inform them of the incident.

  • 019

What if the power goes out?

In the event of a breakdown, in your Customer Area of the website, where you will find information of interest on your bill, you will find the 24-hour toll-free telephone number of your distribution company for breakdowns

  • 020

Can my electricity supply be cut off for changing supplier?

No way! The supplier will ask the distribution company for access to your supply point once the contract has been signed, and while the contract is being activated, your current supplier will continue to supply the energy. The change of supplier will not affect you in any way.

  • 021

I just moved house and I don't have CUPS, how do I get it?

The CUPS is always written on your electric bill. If you don't have electricity yet, you have to request the service and the CUPS code from the distributor in your area.

  • 022
